From checking pollution levels in big cities to detecting gas levels in emergency situations, Sniffer 4D v2 gas detector is the tool you need. It creates a real-time 2D or 3D map illustrating the distribution of gases in the air, detects up to 9 gas and particle concentrations simultaneously, and can be mounted on both a drone for an aerial inspection and a car for a ground inspection.
What is Sniffer 4D
Soarability Sniffer 4D v2 is a gas sensor that scans and identifies different types of gases present in the air in real time and creates a 2D/3D image showing their distribution in a given location.
The configuration of sensors that the Sniffer 4D has can be adapted to the customer’s needs, he having the possibility to choose from a list of parameters those that are suitable for the analysis he is going to carry out:

For example, for emergency response the configuration is VOCs, CH4 , CO, CO2, Cl2 , O2 , NO2 , H2S, for oil and gas leak detection it is VOCs, CH4 , H2S, SO2, and for ambient air monitoring is PM2.5, PM10, O3, NO2, CO, SO2, VOCs, odor (OR).
Capabilities
One mission
During a mission, Sniffer4D is able to detect various pollutants in the air and sends the data in real time to the Sniffer4D Mapper analysis software.
Modular hardware
The detection modules inside the Sniffer4D use state-of-the-art gas sensors from suppliers such as Alphasense UK. Each detection module is equipped with a dedicated 16 MHz microcomputer to run filtering, bias correction, humidity and temperature correction algorithms.
To account for the individual difference of the sensors, each detection module is calibrated according to its intrinsic properties.
Detector verified performance
The performance of Sniffer4D has been evaluated by a national metrology institute in China, demonstrating excellent accuracy, repeatability and response time after calibration.
Unlimited applicability
With a size and weight of 157 x 103 x 87mm and 400g – 500g, Sniffer4D can be easily integrated with various land and air vehicles.

Air pollution monitoring in a specific geographical area
With Sniffer4D and a drone or car one can quickly scan an area and obtain the local distribution of air pollution in 3D. Through the obtained results, the exact locations of the emission sources can be identified, in order to understand the dynamics of air pollution for the targeted area.

Response in emergency situations
In the event of an emergency, a Sniffer4D flight to quickly determine the types and amount of toxic gases released can define a safety perimeter and dramatically reduce the risk to the rescue team.

Leak detection
At oil and gas plants, Soarability’s detector is useful in efficiently collecting gas distribution information. The information can be used to locate areas of suspected leaks and identify the spread of harmful substances.

Ship emissions and FSC monitoring
The fuel sulfur content (FSC) of ships is automatically estimated on a flight through the smoke cloud of the ship. This is done by the integrated inversion algorithm of the Sniffer4D detector.
