QYSEA W6 and E-Master

Working safer, better and faster requires access to reliable technology, built for real, difficult scenarios, where the operator’s intuition must be supported by solid technical capabilities. QYSEA equipment, especially the E-Master Navy and W6 Navy models, represents the top of the range in this regard because offers a number of advanced features that are hard to find in this class of compact ROVs.

W6 Navy is a professional ROV designed for tactical, rapid inspections in narrow areas, active currents or low visibility environments. It is equipped with a 4K camera with distortion correction lenses, a high-power LED lighting system and omnidirectional thrusters that allow for mobility, including maintaining position underwater in side currents. The integrable robotic arm allows physical interaction with the environment (sampling, lifting, sensor positioning) and the intuitive software interface makes handling precise even in difficult conditions.

On the other hand, E-Master Navy is a system designed for extended operations and deep-sea missions, equipped with inertial navigation sensors, DVL sonar positioning, autopilot mode for underwater trajectories and inspection sonar integration capability. It is ideal for industrial, port and dam inspections, as well as detailed bathymetric mapping missions, thanks to its depth sensors, automatic stabilisation and real-time video streaming system.

In aquatic environments, lack of visibility and limited access have made monitoring, inspection and intervention a complicated, costly and risky process. Professional ROVs (remotely operated vehicles) are radically changing this reality, offering a safe, accurate and fully documentable solution for any type of underwater work.

At Skyline Drones, we use this equipment for a variety of technical scenarios. Here’s how it works in real-world applications:

1. Technical inspection of underwater infrastructure

Application: inspection of grids, gates, basins, submerged elements of dams or industrial platforms with W6 Navy

How it works:

The ROV is launched from the shore or a floating platform. The depth and position maintenance system allows stabilisation in currents or in front of a moving part. The operator controls the ROV in real time, using the remote control with screen and the dedicated app, watching the images transmitted by the 4K camera with auxiliary lights.

If a problem is detected, such as a clogged grate, a crack or a stuck moving part, the integrated robotic arm can be used to remove the obstacle or take a sample. Everything is recorded on video and can be exported to the inspection report.

2. Detailed bathymetric mapping

Application: profiling the bottom of reservoirs, port areas or canals for maintenance projects, dredging or environmental studies with E-Master Navy.

How it works:

E-Master Navy is equipped with depth, tilt and optional sonar sensors. By navigating at shallow depths, either automatically or guided, it can scan the bottom of an area and generate longitudinal and transverse profiles, identifying areas of sedimentation, unevenness or submerged objects.

The data can be combined with video images and relative positioning, providing a basis for topographic documentation, GIS or intervention plans. It is useful in areas where conventional boats cannot operate (small lakes, dams, sensitive environments).

3. Search & Rescue

Application: searching for an object or person submerged in a lake, canal or pool with the W6 Navy.

How it works:

W6 Navy is ready for quick launch. It is intuitive to operate, and thanks to its high-resolution camera and LED lighting, it can explore the bottom of the water even in low visibility conditions.

Unlike a classic dive, the ROV can safely navigate the area without interruption, in real time. Once a suspicious object is detected, it can be explored in detail with digital zoom, marked with a laser or even hooked with the robotic arm for recovery.

The major advantage is the total safety of the human operator and the ability to document everything continuously. Each video frame can be analysed later, without rushing.

4. Ecological monitoring and wildlife inspection

Application: surveillance of underwater species, assessment of natural habitats or the impact of works on the aquatic environment with E-master Navy and W6 Navy

How it works:

The ROV can navigate without disturbing the environment, recording wildlife behaviour in real time. In protected areas, it can access inaccessible spaces (root networks, cavities, steep banks) without invasive diving.

W6 Navy and E-Master Navy offer precise control in confined spaces, and the live image can be captured and analysed by biologists or environmental institutions. It is ideal for research projects, but also for institutions that need periodic visual documentation (e.g. Romanian Waters, NGOs, local authorities).

W6 Navy is the ideal choice for spot inspections, tactical interventions, hard-to-reach areas and rapid missions.
E-Master Navy excels in mapping, extended operations, bathymetric profiling and large-scale scanning.

At Skyline Drones, we use these ROVs in real missions, in partnership with public institutions and industrial operators, providing underwater inspection, ecological monitoring and technical mapping services tailored to the needs in the field. Our team can intervene quickly, efficiently and in a documented manner.

For institutions and companies wishing to integrate this technology into their own processes, QYSEA E-Master Navy and W6 Navy equipment is available for purchase through La Orizont, an authorised distributor of UAV and underwater solutions. We offer complete consulting, customised configuration and after-sales support to ensure a natural and sustainable transition to modern inspections.
