The Romanian Naval Forces organised the multinational exercise “OPEX 24” from 27 to 31 May, which took place in the military port of Mangalia and in maritime districts of the Black Sea. At its first edition, “OPEX 24” was connected to the exercise “DACIA/TOMIS 24” and dedicated to the testing of unmanned equipment, with the main objective of strengthening the interoperability between unmanned equipment and those operated by military personnel, as well as the use and development of new techniques, tactics and action procedures based on common experience.

The exercise was attended by the Romanian Naval Forces, NATO structures, allied and partner states (Bulgaria, France, Portugal, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the USA and Turkey), as well as numerous civilian companies developing unmanned systems.

Pioneering Drone Interoperability: SKYLINE DRONES and LA ORIZONT Lead the Way

We at SKYLINE DRONES are proud to announce our participation, alongside LA ORIZONT, in the multinational exercise ‘DACIA/TOMIS/OPEX 24.’ This event, organized in the Black Sea, provided a unique opportunity to test our UAVs in a rigorous and strategic environment. Our primary goal was to enhance the interoperability between unmanned equipment and those operated by military personnel. Being one of the only two companies in the drone industry invited to this exercise underscores our commitment to advancing UAV technology and ensuring seamless integration with military operations.

Over the course of a week, we at SKYLINE DRONES, under the direct coordination of the Maritime Hydrographic Directorate ‘Comandor Alexandru Cătuneanu’ and with the support of NATO Maritime GEOMETOC Center of Excellence, carried out a series of unique exercises. With LA ORIZONT, we utilized advanced technologies from our traditional partners YellowScan, HEXADRONE, Phase One, and Quantum-Systems. These exercises demonstrated our commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance our UAV capabilities and ensure top-notch performance in complex maritime environments.
